What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these ratchet tie-down straps for exceptional strength and durability, with many reporting successful use securing motorcycles, furniture, and heavy appliances across long distances without slippage. Users consistently highlight ease of operation, intuitive design, and the included storage case as thoughtful features. The 14-foot length and build quality exceed expectations for value. However, a notable group reports serious defects with the ratchet release mechanism, which frequently fails to disengage properly, requiring tools to manually free straps. Despite this significant drawback, most customers remain highly satisfied and repurchase.

Release mech doesn't work
Would Not RecommendThese secured my load fine. But when I went to unload, the ratchet release mechanism didn't work. When fully opened to disengage the ratchet pawls, only one side of the ratchet catch engages the release ramps, so the ratchet stays locked and the strap won't freespool. The ratchet catch appears to be too narrow to engage the release ramps on both sides of the ratchet (or perhaps the housing is too wide?). I had to use a screwdriver to manually disengage the ratchet pawl. Returning them for s...
Junk
Would Not RecommendThere's so much slop in the handle mechanism, the release won't work properly. In the picture, the ratchet is in the release mode. One side is released (blue circle), the other isn't (red circle).

When using the ratchets make sure the handle is fully open to 180 degrees to release.

Does not release
Would Not RecommendPaid extra thinking these would be better than some cheap options but trying to get these to release is a nightmare. You have to stick you finger into the lock mechanism to get to release one click and move the lever. The locking tab jumps left to right on every strap so they don't release. Great feature if you want to strap something down and never unstrap it but not great when you have something strapped in the bed of your truck to the bed side and you can barely see and reach. Ended up cu...

won’t release
Would Not RecommendJust picked these up because I didn’t want to go home and get my other ones. They kept my load secure enough, however they wouldn’t release. Come to find out the piece opposite of the handle when squeezed doesn’t extract both sides from the teeth, pretty much making this useless, unless you get a finger between that small metal piece and the strap to releas it while pulling with your other hand. See one of the pictures above, I’m trying to point to it. These are going back and I’m buying somethi...

Complete and Utter Trash
Would Not RecommendTo be fair, they did hold down my load of lumber perfectly fine, no problem. Even made strapping them down fairly easy. However, I could not get the ratchet mechanism to release on three out of four of them, and the one that DID release (with a satisfying "click"), still wouldn't come loose. I had to cut all four with a box cutter. Waste of money. I should have heeded the other negative reviews ...
