Not just for bases
Would RecommendWe used brackets to make a stronger kayak rack. The conventional rack would just rust through after couple of seasons here in Florida. Hope these will last longer! We had to use an orbital grinder to reduce the 4x4 width all around by about 1/8 as the bracket was tad smaller when using fresh wood.

Would RecommendA treated 4x4 needs a little smashing to get to the bottom, but that means it's a good fit. I would buy this again. I dislike that it's a bit expensive. But so would be the labor and pain of drilling and digging more holes.
