Great compost caddy
This compost caddy is great! With or without bags. The composting bags do compost. They do breakdown in the compost pile which is a plus. I like that this caddy can stand alone on the counter or be attached to the waste can. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is due to the fact that the cover, when closed is not a tight seal. Great for Kitchen/Cooking Garbage
I can't live without this caddy. No odors emanate from it. It is lightweight and easy to move around in the kitchen. If you line it with a plastic bag, it's easy to tie off and throw away the contents once it's full. (If I could compost where I live, I would dispose of the contents that way. ) I love this caddy so much that I bought a second one when the hinges failed on the first one. Surprisingly easy and fits into my kitchen workflow
When mounted as a sidecar, the magnetic lid holder is terrific. During large cooking efforts, moving it to the counter or the sink is easy and quick. This is an all-around helpful solution they way a can on my counter or under the sink never was.

Very nice compost bin.
This replaced our old plastic one after several years and we're very happy with it. We found that the compostable bags we were using also fit this model, so that was a plus, too.

Love the compost caddy. . The only suggestion I would make is to make it larger. We have the double trash container(one for recycle and the other side for trash). We could use a larger compost caddy. We do like the one we bought. We have been very pleased dealing with simplehuman.

Exactly what I needed for cooking!
I eat a lot of veggies, and this is perfect for throwing scraps into. I was using just a plastic bag, but that doesn't stay open like this does. It is small enough that it looks fine on my counter between meal preps. Because it is small, however, I have to empty it after every 1-2 meals. Also keep in mind that the bags are biodegradable. I discovered the hard way that if you forget about it and leave the full bag in there for several days, it will start to break down and then you will have a mes...
