I love the convenience of having both garbage and recycling in the same can. I also really appreciate the quiet of the lid closing.

Great upgrade!

I bought this model to replace a previous dual model and I love this one more. The butterfly design helps trash deposits easier. Also easier to clean.

Smooth and shiny

So far so great!

I wish the bags were less expensive. But, the bin is fitting exactly as I needed it to in my kitchen. So far the step is opening and closing the lid as expected. But, I did just get it!

This trash can fits perfectly in a small area of my kitchen. I love the way it opens and that I have a spot for both trash and recycling! It is functional and looks great! Worth every penny. Buy it! You won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful trash can

This trash can has exceeded expectations, it softly closes, contains smell incredibly well, and has more than enough space for a household of 1 to put trash and recycle for over a week

Poor design

Very disappointed, especially since I have another larger sample you can that works very well. This one doesn't allow you to put in more than two or three bottles with jars before you can't close it and when you try to take it out, you need help because the bag went full does not easily come out of the container, so you need someone to hold the container for you while you pull the bag out with the other hand the paper part of it is OK but the other half that I use the bottles and plastic does no...

I love it so far! It doesn’t take up much space, it holds quite a bit of trash and recycling, and it looks great in our kitchen.

Great

Love it. Fits a surprising amount of recyclables and trash. Thought it would hold less of each, but it is taller and I think that's why it has good capacity.

Kitchen trash can

I absolutely love my new trash can .. we always recycle whenever possible with the divided compartments allow us to do both tras and recycle..

Money well spent!

My dual compartment can is sleek, space-saving, and just what I needed. As a person who has roughly equal amounts of recycling and waste, this container provides an option that is just the right size to deal with both—beautifully. I could not be more pleased.

Newly arrived but so far, so good…

Love the dual compartments (though each has a very small capacity from previous single can purchases of course), I am overall very pleased w/this purchase and quite enamored w/the butterfly opening. I do miss the built-in dispenser for the liners. I recommend.

I’d love it more if

I’d love it more if they made a larger size or two, with the “butterfly” lids!!!! I love this can but it is small to split recycling and trash for a family of 3.

Fit and quality

I am very happy that this can has the same high-quality as my previous Simple Human can. I wanted a dual compartment so I could eliminate having a second receptacle for recycling and this one fit the bill. Bonus was this one is a bit slimmer so it fits the space better too. I was skeptical about the bags and capacity but so far that hasn't been an issue.

Sleek look, functional

This is just what I was looking for. I wanted a slim bin that fits right next to my island. A foot pedal feels so much more fancy than a manual lift. The stainless steel matches all my appliances. I love having the dual compartment so that I don't have to find a second bin, especially one that looks completely different, for recycling. I don't use the simplehuman trash bags because I find that a 30L trash bag from the store does just fine. I don't believe in having to buy specialized trash bags....
