Butterfly Beauty!

Bought an older version of the 30L Butterly Step Kitchen Trash Can and got hooked! This can by far exceeded my expectations. I will never go back to buying the plastic cheapo can again! I replaced this one with another of the same design, but with the upgraded steel lid instead of plastic. No doubt this one will outlast the previous can because it was the plastic lid that didn't hold up at the corners where it connected to the opening brackets. a handy-sized bin

Really like the foot-pedal lids, and appreciate the butterfly opening allowing it to fit under my counters while still being able to open all the way. My only quibble with the design is that there is only a hand-hold on one end of the top of the bin, so moving it without dragging it is not particularly easy.

Already have issue with the lid. Pin came out. It will not open and close correctly. Not happy

Best ever

No sugar coat here either, we really do love our new trash can and the sample liner pack they included in the purchased convinced us to buy a supply. They are the best we've ever used and resonbly priced. You won't be disappointed!

Great, but problems

I purchased a 30 liter butterfly step can at a store - and once I got home, noticed that there was a crack in the inside frame. I called simplehuman, and they were quite helpful and replaced the product, and paid for return shipping. However, the replacement trashcan has a bit of a manufacturing error, and one side of the lid doesn't shut flush with the other side. Still a pretty good trashcan.

A great can

I had the last can for seven years and the plastic butterfly lid latch broke. The new can has an all stainless steel lid and latch; a big improvement. The new can cost more but well worth it. I am older. I don't expect to ever purchase a replacement. The can will out live my 401K.

Great Trash Can

I bought this trash can because of its design and the likelihood of my dogs ability to dig through the trash can might be lessened. My previous trash can needed a 10lb weight on it because my dog would get in and enjoy the trash. I'm hoping this one will be the one he can't get into.

Makes cleaning our kitchen fun. It is like having a new toy. Quiet and neat. The custom bags are worth the money.

Works great and nice looking

This is a great garbage can. It opens and closes gently and is attractive. We use it in our office break room so it is opened and closed many times. No problems so far.

Very satisfied

I am pleased with the styling, appearance, form and function of the can. It is a perfect solution for the tight corner I have placed it in. It can open completely without making contact with surrounding surfaces. My only complaint is the non-standard bin size forces me to buy Simplehuman's proprietary liners. Standard liners don't fit properly.
