I purchased two other slim trash cans that were very frustrating to operate. Every other time I stepped on the pedal the lid would flip off and the bags would often fall into the can. This one from simplehuman is engineered very well and is a joy to use!

Should have bought it sooner!
I really like this new trash can! I wasn’t sure if 40L would be a good size, but it is fine for 2 people in the house and would be fine for 4 as well. The slim size is perfect for my kitchen. And does not extend too far into the room from the wall. Very happy with it!

Would RecommendLove the style And the longness worked perfect for me as an end of the counter can. Quality and comes with 10 sample bags. But my normal tall kitchen bags work perfect too.
