Trash can is o.k. - a bit awkward when your hands are full and you have to step on the pedal - can tends to slide on our vinyl floor, need to find something to put under it to keep it from sliding; also, step is a bit too far back, doesn't line up w/front edge of the top, you have to lean into it.; also, if you want to keep the lid open, you have to manually lift up the entire top. All in all, not 100% sturdy.
