I puchased a simplehuman trash can a few years ago. It fits the kitchen space perfectly and is so convenient with the step-on lid opener. I appreciate the fact that the lid fits snugly and keeps odor from leaking out. I keep the custom fit trash can liners on hand because they are just right! I will be using them for a long time.

not good for bathroom
I didn't think this through. Having to use a step to lift the lid is inconvenient when I'm in the shower or on the toilet and want to put something in the trash. There should be a way to lift the top without stepping on it. I also don't like chrome step, but that was clear on the pics.
