Perfect for my application...

Perfect for my application in mounting an outdoor security camera / floodlight. Great quality - came with all required hardware including the screw in plugs for the conduit openings that I didn't use. Color closely matches the stain color on my home. Very satisfied with purchase.

I didn't buy grey

The white ones I bought have a nice powder coat finish.

Did the job nicely for low cost

I had to drill the mounting holes very slightly larger to accommodate the #14-1 1/2" wood screws I used. I mounted this on my shed's eave to install a SANSI 45w motion security LED light, using the strap that came with the light and the strap screws that came with the box. This particular light uses a single screw through the center of the fixture through the center of the mounting strap. I suppose I could have added some liquid lockwasher to seal the plug threads, but it seemed like overkill. A...

Good Product

I used this product for mounting a Ring Floodlight Camera. It worked perfect, and the white color matched the house's exterior.

Fixtures won't fit

The moulding around the side holes extends all the way to the lip making it imposible for a standard fixture to sit on this correctly. Totally useless.

Strong mount for outdoor light fixtures

These boxes provide excellent mounts for outdoor wall and soffit light fixtures, as they're very rigid and allow for very strong attachments to wood frames and/or reinforced sheathing. They come with 4 plugs for unused holes, are nicely painted for corrosion resistance, and all of the screw posts have very precise internal threads. These boxes don't cost very much, and allow high-quality installations to be completed.

Exterior electrical box

The color matches the color of my house. Easy to install. I put caulking around the outside of the box and where the light fixture connects to the box.

My GoTo Junction Box

I've used this model of junction box for years on various projects. I especially like the external screw flanges. This allows for you to mount the box vertically or horizontally. The junction box includes enough caps to seal any unused openings. It also comes with two screws and a slotted metal cross member. This time I mounted a dual security floodlight to the junction box. The floodlight bolted right in and I am happy with installation.

Good stuff

Does what I would expect and it is metal not plastic although both types work fine.

Poorly threaded

The mounting threads are poorly cut or too shallow. Broke one screw head completely off bottoming out. Lowes should stop carrying this product.

GOOD PRODUCT

Well made metal exterior mount electrical box. I have used a few of these in the past. No complaints.
