Would RecommendWorks as described. Just not sure how long the deburr blades will hold up. But this does a much better job than the Kobalt 1/8-in-5/8-in Inner/Outer Reamer.

I don't think it is needed if using PEX
It is nice but was not needed. The PEX pipe when fully inserted in the Shark coupler was the same as what I marked with this.

Not so great for SharkBite
Would Not RecommendOK, I'm always astounded by how well the SharkBite connectors work so when the hot water tank blew, I decided to add this tool to my tool box. Depth marking is fine but is pretty easy to eyeball. The deburr only works on the outside of the pipe. Yes that's important but so is the inside and it doesn't touch that. needs ideal conditions to work well
works under the right condition. If you only have a short bit of pipe protruding from the wall, you are not able to use the tool for the small diameter pipes because as you can see from the picture the cylinder for the larger diameter pipe will end up touching the wall before you are can insert the smaller diameter pipe to the required depth.

De-Burr or add a burr?
Would Not RecommendI used this product on copper and found that it left a noticable burr around the outside edge that you could catch with your finger nail. Do yourself a favor and purchase an inside / outside combination deburring tool. Much better results.
