Sloppy construction
Would Not RecommendI regretted purchasing this as soon as I went to install it. The crossbar was attached using very small nails and wobbled when I tried to attach the mailbox. I had to add extra wood screws to make it sturdy enough to hold up. The entire purpose of this post is to hold a mailbox, and that was the one thing it couldn't do without modification. I doubt this will last, and I'll probably be out there digging another post hole. I'm not pleased.
It is designed to code

Mailbox post - 4x4 Pressure treated
Would RecommendPrice was OK but quality only fair. Joints were not sized well and upright post was warped. My wife purchased this and said that this one was likely the best of the bunch. The sales person went above and beyond to go through all available posts like this and found the best one. It will work. looks better than the one we've had outside for the past 30 years...

It will do
Would RecommendDecent post. Had to look at several to find one that had tight connections. But more quality control or care would be good.
