What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the mulch for its vibrant, long-lasting color that dramatically enhances flower beds and landscapes. Many highlight excellent value, easy spreading, and consistent texture for weed suppression. The deep red and black hues remain striking through seasons, with reviewers often repurchasing. Some report mold in bags, color fading after rain, or large wood chunks, though these concerns are outweighed by positive experiences overall.

Soul Soothing
Would RecommendI love this Scott's mulch, it really does hold the color for a long time! Better than anything I've used before. It looks pretty with my plants in my zen garden for soul soothing.

Not great
Would Not RecommendColor seems good, time will tell if it holds up. The reason for missing stars is two things- mold and debris/garbage in the mulch. Texture was definitely NOT consistent, nor was size. Less than impressed with trash and mold at this price (or ever actually).

Good Stuff
Would RecommendThis is good quality mulch. I like the Lowe's in house brand mulch, but this is definitely a more uniform, smaller pieced, evenly colored, smoother product. On the pricey side as compared to any of the store brands, but it's good to work with. Can't comment on long term use since I just bought this, but no complaints and am happy with the purchase.

Great finds!
I wasn’t finding what I wanted as far as mulch, but I came up upon this at Lowe’s. You guys never seem to disappoint me. I always find what I’m looking for eventually at your store. Your customer service is also great as well. Keep up the good work.

Mulching is the best finish to a garden
Would RecommendI want to say thank you to the team at Lowes who are very helpful loading my car up with the bags of mulch. I made two different trips a total of over 50 bags purchased and they were very helpful and thoughtful and the mulch is the perfect completion to a yard after weeding, trimming and cleanup followed by preen then Scott’s Nature scapes black mulch, the gardens poo with the mulch now!
