Ratings & Reviews for Scotch-Mount Extreme Double-Sided Mounting Tapes 1.0-in x 5.0 Feet Double-Sided Tape

Heavy duty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t used this yet but it looks very heavy duty. I will probably use it for an outdoor use. Maybe hanging something heavy on a wall or graduation party decorations. I don’t love that it’s black I kinda wish it was clear.

Think sturdy and permanent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotch-Mount Extreme Double-Sided Mounting Tape is super sticky. This type of tape is not something you want to use if you plan to remove the item as this could damage your wall or surface taking it off. It was quite difficult to get it out of the package. What I like about it is that you can use as much or as little tape as you need. Keep in mind that in order to hold, you may need to use several strips depending on the weight of the item. Onc...

Waiting to check out the long-term results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving this item I wasn’t sure how I was going to use it to try it out. So it sat on my counter waiting. It is after all one of those types of products you keep around for just in case at least in my house. Or you go out and get it for a specific purpose. And lo and behold, a use appeared as my broom holder in my laundry room fell off the wall, and I had no other methods available to rehang it. So I grabbed this product, cleaned off th...

Extreme says it all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very impressed with the Scotch double sided mounting tape! I have some framed artwork that I wanted to hang on the wall and this product works perfectly. It’s a great way to be able to hang things without using a nail.

A surprisingly good solution for our old furniture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have received this product free from 3M for evaluation. We have an old desk whose facia keeps falling off forward. We tried to use nails to keep it in place, but we did not see any success. Because the nails did not work, we were skeptical about this Scotch-Mount Extreme Double-Side Mounting Tape, but we gave it a go anyway. The result is surprising. The facia is staying up with a much better fitment than what we could get from the nails (the...

Strong!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is as described. Strong grip for extra hold power. I live in the desert where it will soon reach 110+ and am very curious how this tape will hold up to extreme temperatures. So far so good at 90+

Works great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it to mount a picture on a wall. It worked great. Very ggod product and i would buy it if i needed this type of product. I have never been let down by a 3M product. It holds well and its been on the wall for a few weeks and is still as attached as when i mounted it.

Holds well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Scotch mount tape worked perfect in hanging a picture out in my patio. Easy to use and I am sure it will come in handy for many other little odds and ends. Great to have on hand and it can hold up to 30lbs!

Good tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use, I used the tape to mount a a 30X24 dry erase board that weighs about 15lbs. So far so good, it hasn't fallen of the wall yet. I use a lot of different 3m product and I find them to be great so I can add the mounting tape to the list.

Good in Humidity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this tape to mount a dry erase board in my office. We live in Florida, so the humidity during the summer is quite high, regardless of where we are in the house. The board has been up for a couple of weeks now, and the tape still feels very secure and is holding up nicely. I don’t have a lot of weight on the tape right now, but I do ‘lean’ on the board while writing, so the tape has added pressure changes throughout the week from writing ...

Holds great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are many uses for this product that I have found along the way. One way that I have used it for recently that no other product has been able to hold up with is holding our logo/sign with our WR code onto our stainless steel margarita/slush machine. Nothing else has stuck as long as this has. It is constantly getting wet from getting cleaned and getting other liquids spilled on it and it is still holding strong, which is hard for slick sur...

Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great to hang security cameras on different surfaces. Holds strong so you don’t have to drill into anything to hold the camera mont in place. I have attached it to vinyl siding and Trex deck post.

Strong!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotch's Mount tape works pretty well. I didn't try to mount anything too heavy, but i feel like it's pretty secure. Love that it works indoors and outdoors and most different types of surfaces. I would recommend.

Extreme Mounting Tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Scotch Mount Double-Sided Mounting Tape. The packaging was appealing to the eye and simple to open. Having the long roll will enable me to hang small or large items with the ability to customize the length. I used this to hang a speaker in my shop. To test the strength I attached a small piece to my hammer and it has held for a week so far. Very pleased with this product.

Good product, limited use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free in exchange for my honest opinion. I tried to use this tape, but it didn't work out for me. I followed the directions to the best of my ability, but the amount of tape required for the weight of my object exceeded the surface are of my object-- you have to put a certain number of inches of tape based on how heavy your object is. I think this product would work well on a larger, lighter object than what I attempted. ...

Strong staying power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Scotch Mount Extreme to hang lights outside on my cinder block. The double-sided tape has held up for a month as strong as the first day that I put it up. We have had heavy rains all month and it is still holding. I would definitely recommend!

Nice tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a free sample. This is ok tape. Not the best. But it works well. It doesn’t seem quite as sticky as some other 3m tapes I have used. But it works well for hanging pictures and things that only need a medium hold. It is also relatively easy to remove from some surfaces, which could be a plus. I’m not sure how it does on painted walls, but it’s good on other surfaces. I like that it is a bit thick as well. Not much comes in the...

Sticks like magic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product to review. I used it to adhere a box on my garage wall to keep some of my tools that I can get to easily. It went up easy and has kept secure for a few weeks. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to permanently adhere objects.

Amazing hold, easy placement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this mounting tape! I used it on a wodden shelf and it is holding extremely well. I also used it on the back of a heavier picture frame. The tape is easy to cut and seperate from the backing. You can easily measure and cut what you need to use.
