I Just received them today and have not used them yet.

Disappointed in knife metal quality

Received as a wedding gift and as an avid cook with a favorite chefs knife I was eager to try. Worked beautifully for breaking down a chicken and other prep work. The issue came down to washing the knives. Washed and dried by hand but had rust spots pop up on all three knives. Going to try some vinegar and maybe a bit of baking soda before formally retiring them.

Not for commercial kitchen use

This is a very one use knife, it’s only good for chopping and dicing fruits and vegetables. Doesn’t get clean cuts on meat or cheese or delicate cuts due to the groves

Absolutely love this knife. Use it everyday as it’s easy to handle and super comfortable with an incredible sharp blade. We have many expensive top name alternatives but this is our #1 go to! Highly recommend it!

It gets rust!

after using this knife for 2 weeks, it gets rust on couple spots.

This is a great knife. For the cost it is an absolutely incredible knife. Comfortable, beautiful and sharp. I grab for it over numerous more expensive Japanese options daily.

Very sharp and a great addition to my kitchen

The blade itself looks very well-made and feels great in your hand when you’re using it. Nice knife set

Great Prep Knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved this knife the first time I used it! I sliced some tomatoes for a sandwich and the knife sliced them beautifully! The knife was sharp and sliced through the tomatoes with ease! I also used the knife cutting carrots, celery; and potatoes! It is now my go to knife! I love it!

Best 8” chef’s knife

This knife makes chopping and cutting so much easier. I intend to replace all of my knives with the Evolution series. Works well for prep

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't used it on meat yet but I have used it in food prep(onions, tomatoes, potatoes,etc.) nd it cuts nicely. My only complaint is I like a rubber or wooden handle for grip and this is all metal so it can get a little slippery when wet. Otherwise a great knife size and shape.

Nice knife

The grooves help the cut food slide right off the blade. It appears very well crafted and I'm sure will be my go-to knife for years to come!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Schmidt Brothers Evolution 6" Prep Knife does a fine job for what it is designed to do. The knife is shipped in a nice wooden box and nested in a sponge bed inside the box. This ensures that knife stays put and does not get dinged and damaged during the shipping process. There is some type of fluid/oil coating on the knife which can be be washed out. Matter of fact, the instructions ask you to wash it before use to get the fluid/oil coating...
