Rubber Tree Ring

Although it doesn’t look totally natural like mulch, it makes the area around the tree look ‘neat’. With the landscape fabric underneath, It beats having to pull out weeds and grass around the area every week. The mower runs over it easily too. I am sure I will buy more of these rings in the future.

Life Saver

I was spending my life continually weeding around the 16 trees I planted. I started by purchasing three of the Rubberific tree rings and was so pleased with the ease of installation that I ordered 13 more to put around all of my trees. Now I'm no longer spending my life pulling weeds. These wonderful tree rings are life savers and now I can actually relax and enjoy my yard :)

Saves trouble mowing around small trees

Mowing around smaller trees in the yard is a problem especially on a slope. Tree rings keep the grass and weeds down.

The circle was east to cut to fit the tree trunk and looks very nice and neat. It remains to be seen how it will affect the health of the tree, the bark of which was being damaged by edging the grass around it which, in-turn was affecting the health of the tree. The only negative was that it was delivered in a box in which the circle was folded in half and one corner near the split had about 2 inches broken off. I know I could have returned it but it was easier to flatten one side of the circ...

Easier and better than mulch!

Put this around a new tree. It easily allows water to filter through but does not attract bugs the way mulch does. Looks really nice too.

I like to use these around trees. It saves on having to keep putting new mulch down, because mulch washing away over time. It doesn't fade and last for years. Great product. I have been buying these for several years.

Great for fruit trees!

Landscaping made easy

These rubber tree rings are an easy way to trim out small or medium trees, I have them around my Japanese Maple and Peach trees. These keep weeds away and keep the soil from drying out so fast. I have used these for a few years now and they have lasted nicely, I occasionally will put insecticide under the mat to keep ants and other destructive insects in check. Tree Rings to Bush Rings

I didn't use the tree rings for any trees. I actually cut out a ten inch circle with a utility knife. I used the large part to surround my phlox and day lily plants. Then I covered the rings with mulch. So now, I have an extra weed barrier and when the phlox grows I can use the outside rim as a guide to trim the bushes. An extra bonus, I now had an extra ten inch ring. So I made the original hole five inches wider and used it on smaller plants. I got two for one!

Not very impressed

Would work well on a very small tree. After having to trim it to fit around my tree, the ring started breaking apart.

Looks good but got damaged during shipping

The shipping box was smaller than the diameter and so the rings were folded in half (!) without any bubble/protection in the middle. They got damaged (tore up badly at the inside ring) on arrival. Maybe Lowes staff should be more careful when shipping products. Also, that raises the question of durability from the outdoor weather year round as well. The shredded rubber pieces are glued together and if the glue goes bad, so does the whole ring.

Disappointed

I purchased 3 of these two years ago and will be throwing them away this fall. Became hard and brittle and are falling apart. Too expensive to fail this soon.
