Rubber Tree Ring
The product is dense and has a weed fabric on the bottom which is supposed to prevent weeds from overgrowing your trees. This is the first time that I've used this product, so only time will tell. The inner circle of the ring can crumble a bit, so it's important to handle carefully. I like that it is made in the US and is of recycled tires!

Would RecommendCreates a good foundation for growth. We are on the second set as gophers, moles, dogs, birds and the occasional blade of grass will eventually cause decomposition. We put metal tree rings around bird feeders and saplings, then after laying ground cloth, place a tree ring in each. We then place potato size rocks on top to keep the area neat.
Great product. Keeps the weeds out but let’s the rain through.

It's nothing special, just lies there encircling the tree, even the 36" diameter turns out to be rather small, it's only 18" out from the tree, still need mulch for mowing buffer. Would like a 72" diameter.

I've had similar in the 24" size for a couple of years and they're great. The 36" size is hard to find and Lowe's has the best price. My 24 inchers are black on one side, brown on the other. The ones from Lowe's are all black with weed barrier cloth on the bottom side. So far I'm happy

Would Not RecommendIf you keep these on your trees, as they grow, the collar will choke them out. Does not break down. Is not environmentally friendly.

Would RecommendBought this to put around a tree I just planted. Reading reviews I was somewhat confused about whether or not it would allow water to pass through. Some said yes, some said no. I tested when I got home and I am firmly in the NO - it will not pass water camp. OK, so it passed a little, but most runs off. For a new tree any water needs to stay close, but not on, the trunk.
