Great product and good quilty . And the people at the store specially the manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way , when he didn't have the right amount we needed for the project .

A lot of defects...

Thought I'd be able to paint these pre-primed boards as soon as I brought them home. Unfortunately, that was not to be. These boards have a LOT of defects like dents and gouges, primer sprayed on over foreign material, patches of missing primer, etc. So... expect to start with lots of filling and sanding and spot-priming rather than painting.

You always need to paint after you install primed wood.

Great for value for large projects

Replaced

On one package of eight, had to replace five of them. Because warped, chunks of wood missing, and other defects.

Casing

We have used this casing for both door frames and baseboards throughout our home. The size is good and it looks good when it is painted. My only issue is that we have been buying the contractor packs and they are hit or miss. Often the boards will have dents or nicks or they will have obvious places where two pieces were glued together. This does impact the appearance as well as the value.

Not a single straight piece.

Every piece hade a curve. Made trimming out doors very difficult.

Works great for baseboard

I enjoy using the primed base molding. It saves me a step.

Hard for paint to adhere

Product was primed so I expected it to be a good base for paint. I don't use cheap paint but I still had a problem getting the paint to adhere to the moulding. After 24 hrs it was still easy to run your fingernail over the paint and leave a gouge. Better after 48 hrs.

Best deal for moulding

Contractor pack was the best deal for moulding. Even ripped some of it down for window trim/

Pretty when finished

This molding had to be painted, being that it was only primed. For the price we spent on it, I would have much rathered it to be already finished being painted an all, just ready to be cut and put up. Still, they look great in my dining room. It really makes the room pop! Working on crown molding now.

Nice finishing touch

The pine base moulding is great to work with, and adds a wonderful finishing touch to the remodel of our kids' bedrooms. I like the availability of the contractor package, because the moulding was already wrapped and ready to go from the store. It is a better price too, rather than buying each piece individually. Since the moulding is already bundled, I didn't have to sort through individual boards to pick out the ones that have been 'dinged' by careless customers who sometimes rummage through t...
