Would RecommendWe purchased one piece to finish some small areas in our family room. This piece was a match for the existing moulding we installed several years ago along with the Chair Rail Backer Moulding Item # 160262 Model # L0442528. The MDF cuts like wood on both a table saw and miter saw. Take your time and you will get clean cuts. MDF is very dusty so wear dust protection.

I was a little disapponited.
Would Not RecommendThis product is more like pressed paper and not MDF. If you are trying to cut corners it will do but wood is really the way to go. It will last longer.

Would RecommendLove this chair rail. Very nice look once lightly sanded and painted. Remember to sand between coats do the paint doesn’t peel.

Easy to cut!
Would RecommendThis is of good overall quality. I have used this extensively around our home on all wainscoting projects. At our Lowes you have to filter through the stock to find undamaged pieces sometimes.

Would RecommendReturning it because the client doesn't like the pattern but none the less an easy process with lowe's. Don't mind getting materials just in case and returning them if I need to. They make it pretty easy.

Not durable
Would Not RecommendThis material is easy to work with but that's also it's failing. If you want to protect your walls it does that - but the cost is the chair rail itself. It does not hold up well to dings and such because the MDF is relatively soft. If you don't have kids in the house its probably okay.
