Door needs to be flush
I bought this lock with the intention of adding a third lock to my front and back doors. Unfortunately the door needs to be flush with the frame in order for this. That's entirely my fault though. The hardware seems extremely well built and as a crisp brushed nickel appearance.
Bolt profile does not match striker size or profil
The Bolt not a common shape and not exactly "D" shaped. The strikers are "D" shaped, significantly larger than the bolt, and of very thin metal. I'm unsure what the manufacturers intent was with mismatched bolt and striker hole sizes, but this will allow the gate/door to "wobble" inside the striker. Because the bolt is an odd profile (not a circle nor a rectangle), you cannot easily drill a hole the correct size nor use the striker to firmly plant the bolt. The bolt is very solid and slides ...
