Pine but all good pieces.
Would RecommendI thought I'd be wasting time sorting good wood from bad. I did not find ANY bent, knotted, rough cut, or other defects. Wow, that's a first for me.

May not accept the finish
Would RecommendOn the surface this seemed like a great purchase. We purchased 6 to trim out a pretty small powder room. They fit great and are going to really finish the bathroom. Just one problem... they did not want to take the finish at all. I don't know if they are sanded so fine that the pores are closed up...? Really had to leave a heavy coat of finish to get it to take. That increased some drying time and the final finish looks kind of sloppy.

Thank you for the comment. While applying a wood conditioner prior to staining, it may help the wood accept the stain better by opening its pores. ...
