I purchased my first tomato slicer over 8 years ago. That same knife still cuts a ripe tomato with ease and has never been sharpened. I use it for EVERYTHING! Watermelons, pealing everything, even cutting meats. Now I know there are different knives meant for all those things but all I need it 1! This is a steak knife sized multi purpose knife, longer than the paring knives and shorter than many of the others. I like it although my paring knives get more frequent daily use. The blade thickness and shape are similar to the regular paring knives. The blade isn't as heavyweight as the cook's knife or the stubby butcher knife, but it doesn't need to be. A Rada classic
I've had the serrated Tomato Slicer for several years. While it also works well for other soft foods, I save it for tomatoes. It cuts through the skins without smushing them and can cut very thin slices. A nice, inexpensive addition to anyone's kitchen knife collection. I love that Rada products are still completely made in the USA and don't cost a fortune.

Better than German or Japanese equivalents
These knives are the best I have ever used, better than my German or Japanese items. Cutting of tomatoes, onions, or other veggies is done with remarkable ease. I will be ordering two more today. I wish you had a knife guard engineered as good at the Cutco guards to make it easier to take the knives camping or for other outdoor activities. Well done and thanks for making these in the USA.

I absolutely love the tomato knife. I own 4 of them and always buy them as gifts. They are amazing at cutting tomatoes but useful for so much more. I tell the people I give it to, it will become their favorite knife and they laugh. BUT after a short time they always come back and tell me it is their favorite and they can’t believe how much they like it. If you are on the fence about buying one or deciding which Rada to buy Definitely get the tomato knife.

Serrated knives extraordinaire
I love Rada knives. I'm particularly impressed with the serrated knives that are serrated on BOTH sides. They cut straight, no pulling to a slanted cut, good for 'leftys' and 'rightys' and keep their edge. I wish it were so on all the serrated knives, but the most important ones are, the Tomato knife and the Serrated Slicer, and I have them both. They are the best serrated knives going! Thanks!
