Manual Backup for Sump Pump

Works great! Stick the tube in the sump, the hose in the laundry tray and pump.

Gets the job done.

I needed a pump to suck up some water. It did what it was supposed to do.

Broke in 15 minutes

What a pile of garbage. Like many plumbing problems this was bought for an emergency. No needless to say I was not happy when the top T handle broke off about 5 minutes into pumping, 20 minutes after I bought it. On the way to return it now. I'm a big dude but I cant imagine I was pumping any harder than anyone else would in an emergency.

Boat pump

Utilize this hand pump as a secondary pump to remove water from bilge on my boat. This unit is light weight. Easy to assemble and to operate. The discharge hose is extra long. Making it useable on boat free boards.

Bought this 'just in case'. . . 'just in case arrived with two days of heavy rain. The level of water in one well window was almost dangerous. This light weight, simple to use tool became worth its weight in gold. Saved the day.

Broken with 1st use

I does not work

Needed to pump water out from around my water meter. After pumping 50 or so time I only got a coffee cup full of water. Junk. I am returning.

Useful tool for home, garden, and canoe

The pump works well, but care must be exercised so as not to bend the pump shaft when it is withdrawn from the pump body completely. The manufacturer would do well to supply a clip or some other means to secure the pump body to the side of the container or vessel to be emptied. The discharge force requires either holding on to the hose end or using a hose clamp to secure the discharge end. Finally figured it out.

Like many other reviewers of this pump I was frustrated with it and about to take it back until I discovered that you use it with the cap on not off. The cap appears solid but it is actually perforated. The instructions say remove the cap for cleaning but it is all too easy to overlook that and assume the cap comes off for pumping. It worked satisfactorily after I put the cap back on it.

Plastic Transfer Pump

Very compact and easy to use. I like the amount of water that is expelled with each pull. The pump seems to be durable for normal around the house usage like cleaning sediment out of the spa and hard to reach areas in the pool. Wish it had small fold down stand-off base so pump would be easier to hold in place while suctioning with the other hand. Great Product!!

This is ONE OF THE BEST purchases I have ever made. Easy to use and clean. Does a wonderful job. A friend saw it and requested I sell it to him and get another. I bought two more.

Great Pump

This pump worked well, no issues at all. I'm glad I purchased it when I did.

Pricey for what you get

It does work but with very low volume. A lot of pumping for low water removal. Also somewhat cheaply made. I don't expect it to last very long. If I hadn't been under time restraints I would have shopped around for better quality and function. I would have returned it if I hadn't actually used it.

Product didn't work for me

I tried every which way to use this pump, and failed miserably. It looks like you should just put the end of the pipe in the water, pull the handle, and water should suck up and out through the hose. But it didn't. Maybe I'm the problem, I just don't know. At any rate, after trying it several times I gave up and ended up returning it to the store. At about $30 it should have worked magnificently.

Works great! Moves water quickly!

We had a power failure and needed to pump out standing water from a crawl space mechanical area, where the sump pump normally works with the power on. This pump is great! We pumped the water into a 5 gallon bucket and removed the water until the power came back on. It does exactly what it is designed to do: remove liquid quickly, end of story. Saved me from ruining my hvac system and gas water heater. Well worth the $ 30.00.
