What Customers Are Saying
Customers acknowledge the switch performs its basic on/off function effectively, with many praising its affordability as a replacement part. However, significant concerns dominate: the complete lack of instructions forces users to rely on YouTube tutorials or prior experience, while many report poor build quality including sharp mechanisms that cut fingers, metal prongs damaging insulation, and housing that falls apart. Several warn of overheating and fire hazards. Experienced installers find it manageable, but non-electricians struggle considerably. Overall, while functionality satisfies some, substantial dissatisfaction with construction quality and safety concerns temper enthusiasm.

Would RecommendUse this for lamps and devices with a slightly thicker cord. The brown version will only work on thinner lamp cords. Easy to install.

Would Recommendsolid switch, smooth operation. Replaced a cheap one, cracked out.

Cord light
Like that it’s clear, not black or brown and sticking out like a sore thumb. The switch is hard to turn on and off. Maybe to tight.

It is sharp from thin cheap plastic
Would Not RecommendRotating disc for on/off switch is cheap and sharp so it bites into your skin to turn the disc. It is all the same sharpness all around so not caused by breakage. Flimsy materials.

Exactly what I needed
Would RecommendThere's not much to say - this was exactly what I needed but could tell that from the product image(s). I've used/installed these kinds of switches so was familiar with the process which is good because, and my only negative comment is, there were no instructions. If you had not previously use such a switch it is likely you would not know what to do.

Simple to install
Would RecommendUnfortunately the directions don’t exist for installing this but just searching the internet will help. Easy to use and does its job

Nifty but no directions
The pull chain broke on the kids favorite lamp and I got this to put a new switch on it so they can turn it on and off. There were no instructions so I had to search online how to use it. I couldn't get it to work, but it maybe the lamp, and not this switch, so I am holding onto it.
