Would RecommendI liked this light socket because it was not too difficult for a novice like me after I watched a good online video of how to do it. It has been working perfectly so far. I watched this video "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvGepbF60kc" before installing the socket and it helped me. If I had a wire stripper it would have helped but even without one I was able to strip the wire by carefully using a knife. I forgot to make a knot in the cord but hopefully it will not end up being a problem.

Made For an Easy Repair
The slide switch I had installed several years ago had frozen. This replacement was easier to install and looks better with the blank lamp.

Horrible Online Shopping & Shipping Experience
The product itself was a standard light switch that was okay. There was a problem with delivery and Lowe's Customer Service could have cared less, plus, what they wanted was ridiculous.

Would Not RecommendThis product inexpensively solved my issue with a faulty lamp socket. Giving it 4 stars because the top screwing part broke when I twisted it on. Had to use the old top after the repair.

Would RecommendThis style lamp socket is required if your lamp shade fits on the socket in lieu of a lamp shade harp. Excellent replacement for the original.
