Ratings & Reviews for Project Source 1-gallon Plastic Black Paint bucket Lid(s) Included

What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these plastic containers for eliminating rust problems that plagued traditional metal cans. Most highlight the rust-free durability, convenient storage for leftover paint, and practical pour spout design. Many switched specifically because old metal containers rusted from inside out, and they appreciate the long-lasting plastic alternative. Reviewers frequently transfer paint from larger containers into these smaller sizes for easier touch-ups and storage. The integrated pour spout delivers mess-free pouring, and the lid seals well to preserve paint quality. A few mention minor issues like tight seals or narrow spout openings, but these rare concerns barely diminish the strong overall satisfaction and repeat-purchase intent.

Would RecommendNICE DURABLE BUCKET. THAT COMES WITH AN POURING SPOUT MAKING IT EASY TO POUR OUT IF USING TO STORE PAINT. EASY TO CLEAN IF USING AS AN CUT BUCKET AND CAN BE USE OVER AND OVER. MUCH BETTER THAN THE METAL PAINT BUCKET THAT WILL RUST OVER YEARS IF CONTINUES TO USE. I DEFINITELY WILL RECOMMEND THIS BUCKET FOR USE.
Great for Extra Paint!
Would RecommendJust what I needed to save some extra paint. I had large 5 gallon bucket of paint, but only need to save a little. This made it easy
Rust free paint storage!
Would RecommendNo metal to rust with water-based paint and small sealed container for the half gallon of paint I had left in a 5-gallon container.
Great replacement paint can!
Would RecommendVery handy to replace old paint pans. The spout helps a bunch with pouring.
seals well
I didn't buy this for paint actually, but I think it would work great.
Paint can alternative
Would RecommendEasy to use, sealed well. No more rusty can to woory about when storing leftover paint
Better than the more expensive option.
Would RecommendI prefer a plastic bucket to use as a work pot. This is perfect for the price and can reuse multiple times.
No rust with a pour spout
Would RecommendThe small threaded pour spout and cover seems like a simple addition. No rust no dent paint container that replaces an old container than I think rusted a hole in the bottom.
I now buy one for every painting project
Would RecommendDoes a great job of storing latex paint with no risk of RUST. Nice to have when you have a quart or more of an expensive gallon left over. Easy to use, durable, and includes a label. Pro tip: before long term storage, invert the container to ensure a sealing layer of paint coats the entire inside.
I'll buy again
Would RecommendSolid product for a good price. Seems to seal nicely and the pour spout will make those small jobs easier. I have leftover paint from a new home and it's in 5 gal buckets, which are difficult to use for small jobs. I'm going to transfer some to these smaller containers.
Overall, a good paint bucket.
Would Not RecommendThe bucket is overall good but the twist top doesnt secure very well
Perfect for dividing large quantities
Would RecommendWe love that it's plastic so it wont rust. We're painting our interior and it's not convenient working from a 5 gallon container. This is also rust proof unlike the metal ones
Great for leftover paint
Would RecommendWe had old metal paint containers that were rusting. The plastic container works great for the leftover paint.
Paint can
Would RecommendThe lid and pour spout. The size is great for storage.
It's fine.
Would Not RecommendIt works OK. The hole in the lid was too small to fit the hose for my airless sprayer. I'm not sure why this was so expensive.
Matte black nice change; good reusable container
Basic good quality convenient quart sz no complaints
With the price of paint these days...
Would RecommendQuality made bucket and lid with spout. Easy to fill from the original metal can which had rust forming.
