I had one of these that broke at the tip. Had to buy a new one. The tip is hollow, it would be better if the tip was solid. I'm thinking about taking the tip off the new one fill it in with JB weld and putting it back on.

Won’t Unlock
Would Not RecommendBought this to do high walls in a foyer. I couldn’t return it because I didn’t use it right away, but when I did it worked great the first job until it was time to collapse the extension. I fought with the locking screw and finally was able to reduce the extension. Now I need it again and I cannot get the locking screw to loosen and I can’t get the extension extended. I’ve tried WD-40 and pliers, but it just barely spins without loosening. Stay away from this one.

Locking Mechanism Seized Up
Would Not RecommendI bought this pole to paint our high ceilings and was impressed at first by the price and quality of the product. Once the job was done, I tried to un-twist the locking mechanism to retract the pole and the thing wouldn't budge. I tried everything. I had to soak the locking mechanism in silicone spray overnight and my wife helped me get the stupid thing loose the next day by counter twisting as I about gave myself an aneurysm trying to loosen the plastic nut.
