He is using them to hold his ladders against the inside walls of the van as well as securing other tools to keep them from moving while he is driving. The flat elastic seems so much more secure. We will keep plenty of these on hand!

Would Not RecommendI purchased these straps to use as a way to keep my trashcans secure behind my shed. They do the job initially but these straps very quickly dry rot and fall apart in a short time maybe 3 months if that. I'm sure keeping them out of the weather will extend the life of the straps, but aren't most used outdoors?
