This is a Cambuckle Tie Down. Ideal for lighter loads often hauled in a pick-up truck or on a small trailer; not meant for heavy trailering.
Work well, but need to be assembled correctly
Would RecommendI have been using camlock straps for years. Bought these the other day and couldn't get them to hold at all. The slightest pull and the cambuckle would slip. Finally, I figured out that I was assembling the two sections incorrectly. After I took them apart and re-assembled them correctly, they work well and hold securely. Take note: even if you are familiar with these type of straps, you can make a simple mistake and they won't work as you'd expect. There is a video here on Lowe's site in the pr...

Perfect for hanging kayaks
Would RecommendInstead of paying $30-40 for a product sold in other store for the purpose of hanging kayaks I decided it would be easier to just head in to Lowe’s and get the stuff I needed. In the process it saved me about $15. Just screwed a couple hooks into the ceiling and attached these straps to them. My kayaks are now off the ground and I know these straps are sturdy enough to keep them hanging for a long time.
