Would RecommendI was looking for a bare pull chain socket to replace in a lamp. This was the only one that Lowes carries. I bought it hoping that I could remove the phenolic cover and find a standard lamp socket inside. It was and it fit into the normal brass colored light socket that you see in every lamp.

Would RecommendWas tired of the flimsy, push-together plugs. This is a hard plastic that screws together. Seems much more substantial than the metal ones. Plus should be non-rusting as my usage is near the beach. The pull chain is fine but would like the push through type offered as well.

Would RecommendOur old lamp broke as the "Twist Knob" would no longer catch to turn on the lamp. The part was somewhat unique as it was not the metal press fit lamp socket but Bakelite plastic where the sections screw together. I always check Lowes first and they had the part but a "Pull Chain" version rather than a "Twist Knob". I made the repair. The part matched and fit perfectly and I pulled the chain and the light came right on. Great part, easy installation. I like the twist apart versions of the Lamp So...
