We finally found the right part for the book lamp we were making. Thanks so much for having this in stock! We had one of the lampshades that fits under the bulb on the lamp itself. This fitting worked perfectly.

Portfolio chain socket

Good product for what I needed. I have high-end table lamps, but their portfolio sockets are less than quality. The chain switches were defective. I dissembled my lamp sockets and removed the decorative pull chains. I in turn gutted the Lowes portfolio socket and after installing the decorative chains in the new socket mechanisms, I reassembled the lamps. The Lowes socket chain mechanism is so much better than what was on my high-end lamps. Now they are working again.

Works well but is difficult to install.

This was purchased to repair a broken socket of the same type in a ceiling fan. The removal of the old socket was not simple or easy, but trying to install this replacement required about five different attempts. The ceiling fan construction was partially to blame, but having to connect the power wires securely was a hit or miss task and required retightening of the wires three times. Excellent lamp socket for restoring antiques

This lamp socket is perfect for restoring antique lamps that require a pull-chain. It operates easily and looks great with its dark brown color. Money well invested!

Solid fixture.

I bought this fixture to replace the typical snap together type found in most lamps. The snap together ones seem to loosen and if holding a lamp shade never stay straight. This type screw together giving a much more solid finished product.

I like the wire terminals and the plastic assembly, its much more forgiving than the old meta style, as you can man handle it more. Cost was very appealing. Not over packaged.
