Would RecommendActually bought this to serve as a bin for fresh kitty litter (well, pellets is what we use) and no problems at all. Was concerned about the size, but it holds a 40 pound bag of pellets without any problem. I would venture to say that it is the perfect size. Also, the way the lid closes is great; easy to open with one hand and sits closed and secure enough that the cat can't open it up and...well, you know.
