Clean cutting, affordable unit

Worth the purchase

I needed to cut ceramic tile and I was worried that I was going to make a mess of the project. I bought this kit and it was so easy. Once you get the hang of cutting tile pieces, you can crank them out pretty fast if needed. I never learned how to make curved cuts with this kind of device and I do not think that seems possible, but this cutting device will handle any of your straight tile cuts and its very durable so it will last a long time.

Excellent for small projects.

Well worth the money for my need

This cutter worked very well for installing 3 x 6 subway tile. Most cuts I made were lengthwise to fit the top row. It never made a bad cut...quite impressive for such a low cost tool. The adjustable guide is plastic and pretty much useless. I simply marked the tiles to cut them.

My first tile project. Purchased this tile cutter so I could work at my own pace. A nice tool to keep for future projects.

Simple, Does the Job

Very simple tile cutter. It worked great for crosscuts but really struggled with rip cuts on the 4"x8" tiles. Since there is only one small pressure point on each side of the spine to break the tile, I had several tiles not only break in half along my rip score, but also break in half as though I had scored a crosscut, resulting in 4 rectangles instead of the two long skinny ones I wanted. Some of the tiles were slightly bowed along the length which likely was the cause of this, but the tile cut...

Not great for small tiles

This product was ok for cutting tiles. I was cutting small subways. Maybe 50% of the time it cut a straight line.

Right price and saved me from going outside to use my power tile cutter.

Save your money and buy a different one

Piece of junk! It is not Square it cuts nothing straight and it doesn't score deep enough so nothing broke down the line i had to use chippers on every tile that was cut! BEWARE this was a nightmare!

Basic cuts only

Works okay for cutting (technically scoring) ceramic tile as long as you are not near the edge of the tile. For example cutting straight down the middle works fine. However, the closer you get to the edge the harder it becomes as the push arm does not sit right and is unable to break the two pieces apart. Would not recommend for anything other than basic center cuts. I returned this item and bought a cheap wet saw for about a hundred dollars more and it was completely worth it. Made the job much...

Was given a used product

I don’t know how well this works, I am returning it back to the store. This is the second time I ordered something for pickup and was given an item obviously used. Not ok!!
