Would RecommendThis was used to convert a sideways socket in a recessed ceiling from the 1940's to 50's. We didn't have any ceiling tiles to replace the fixture and socket was in good condition. I also used one of these about 10 years ago so I could hang xmas lights on my apartment outside ceiling via powered from the porch light!
