Light socket

I needed a three pronged socket. I thought that I could cheat by cutting off the ground on the plug but the device didn’t work with that configuration.

The product is expected to be installed in a socket on a ceiling as the pull cord is in a slot that only works when pulling straight down. I have to pull at an extreme angle as my socket is on a wall. Otherwise it works for the intended purpose.
