Best cheap whole house replacement filter.
Lowes makes the changing of delivery easy and free. I've shopped this filter and this is the best deal for a 14x20 replacement. Quality is standard but not superior if you have pets. Filters with too high a Merv, I"ve read, can put wear on your heating system.

Can't beat the Price
Would RecommendFor most people, MERV 8 filters are what you should get. The filter enough dust to protect equipment and improve air quality while not suffocating your hvac fan motor and causing it to die prematurely. Now I just wish Lowe's would bring back the cheap 20x20x4 Filtrete option for my other system. Or even better, bring out an even cheaper Project Source option for that size.
The wrong size was delivered
I am disappointed that I the wrong size filter was delivered and the only option that was given for me was to go to my local store and exchange it for the correct size.
