What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this repair plug as a practical, cost-effective solution for fixing damaged extension cords, with most completing repairs in under five minutes. Many highlight its durability, sturdy construction, and weatherproof design, particularly valuing the weather-resistant seal for outdoor use. The bright orange color aids visibility in workshops. However, several users report significant assembly challenges, especially when working with thicker or stranded wires larger than 18 AWG. The screw terminals are poorly aligned with the backshell, making wire attachment difficult. Despite these drawbacks, most customers find it worthwhile for thin, solid-core wire repairs.

Unsafe
Would Not RecommendDo not not use the screw terminals as it is not aligned with backshell. May be ok to solder to the lug and shrink sleeved. Buy a Hubble and move on.
Competitive pricing and availability was immediate

This thing is poorly designed and I will class it as junk and a waste of money.

No instructions
Would Not RecommendWas looking for a two prong polarized male plug. Figured on trying this and no instructions or how to properly feed wires so that wires don't pull out.

Junk
Would Not RecommendPoor Design. Definitely not for stranded conductors. The instructions want you to wrap the conductor around a tiny screw, and tighten. Once the stranded conductor is flattened under screw compression, the individual strands will splay out making a shorted connection a real possibility. Buy a plug that uses compression against a flat plate, instead. It would be nice if the web site photos showed the internals of the plug; that would persuade many to look elsewhere. I'll do them a favor and post o...
So far the instructions are less than helpful.
