What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this repair plug as a practical, cost-effective solution for fixing damaged extension cords, with most completing repairs in under five minutes. Many highlight its durability, sturdy construction, and weatherproof design, particularly valuing the weather-resistant seal for outdoor use. The bright orange color aids visibility in workshops. However, several users report significant assembly challenges, especially when working with thicker or stranded wires larger than 18 AWG. The screw terminals are poorly aligned with the backshell, making wire attachment difficult. Despite these drawbacks, most customers find it worthwhile for thin, solid-core wire repairs.

It works but no strain relief.
Would RecommendThis can add life to a cord, but don't use where the cord could be pulled on hard.

Smaller gauges only
Would RecommendWill not fit 12/3; didn't try a 14/3; fits 16/3 well. Not the greatest retention strength/design so don't yank on the cord while plugged in. It works well though & has held up just fine under normal use. Good value for $5.
THIS IS DANGEROUS!
Would Not RecommendI can't believe Underwriter's Laboratory approves this. I bought several of these. There is no way to restrain these from coming apart and causing a short! The wires are screwed down, and that's it. It is only a matter of time before the wires work themselves loose. Good job, UL!
