Replacement lamp post

Replaced my deteriorated lamp post with the Portfolio Light Post. Great fit for the 3" lamp opening. The only suggestion is to offer a pole with pre drilled hole to install photo cell eye.

I bought this to replace my old lamppost. It was very affordable and looks great. I was very satisfied by how it looked when I installed it.

Outside Light Pole

Good Product, the only problem I had was miss parts, but I call the the “hot line” an they send out the miss parts. I installed it, works greats. Very happy with it.

Replaced a 50 year old light pole

A 50 year old light pole was replaced with this new pole. Hope it lasts as long as the original one.

While most manufactures are going to a two piece pole, this one piece stands alone...looking good!

Specs of material

In the specs of the product#14283, it's written that the post are STEEL they are not, they are Aluminum. Was what I needed. We are replacing all our mailboxes lights in subdivision, we use post for that because of one piece and aluminum. Our brackets are aluminum, so need aluminum post. Stop handling at our Lowes store. On 6-11-2018, I had 10 ordered but cancelled because I check specs and they said that the material was steel. Might want to check this out and correct it. Thank you for a great p...

Missing parts

The cross bar was missing from the box. Other than that is works just fine.

Easy install, daughter is pleased

Follow the directions, plan ahead, research your currency installation, if that applies, muy daughter had a light post already, was very old, set in concrete. However,i got lucky, her post was in two sections with a set screw I the lower (set in concrete) section, the new post slid snugly in the old post, voilà! A can on Matt black spray paint for the lower section, and the job was completed quicker that expected.

Bought many of these

I purchased my first one for our front yard. It was so easy to install I purchased more for my back yard landscape project. This one I bought from my sons new house.

Lamp post holds a wind turbine

We are using this lamp post as a support to hold up a wind turbine. The metal is a little thin for that job so we cut lumber to fit inside and give additional support. It is also too short so we attached pvc pipe that was fitted with wood inside to get the turbine higher. So far it is working ok.

Good Lamp Post

The post was a perfect combination for the fixture that we bought. It was also the most economical of the post we found. I was surprised to find it in local store (it was in the lighting section). We used it for a solar lamp fixture, but the post has a hole near the bottom for wires if you are using it for a regular lamp. The ladder rest slides freely and has plastic press on knobs at the ends. Perfect for hanging a decoration or flag or something. Wish it was about 4in longer since normal yard ...

Very good product and very good price. Easy installation

Flawed

Areas on surface of post where paint was missing. Returned to store but they did not have any left so I could not exchange. Went to two other Lowes stores but neither one had the item.

Black 80 in post Light Pole

Will look really nice in the front entrance with the lamp matching the other lamps we purchased for either side of the front porch door and the side door of the house.

Can not be used for pier mounts

Pole is fine for normal use in ground, but it can not be used for setting into a pier mount. The pole diameter is sufficiently too small - seems the manufacturer was trying to cut costs. I returned this, and purchased a 'normal' diameter pole at a lighting store which fit properly into the pier mount sleeve.
