I have used many of this type of anchor for years and the concept is good. These however are not good. The threaded screw and nut are too weak and will strip out easily. The screw head is shallow making it difficult to keep a screwdriver bit in. Some will twist inside the wall instead of opening as designed. I would gladly pay a bit more for quality than cheap Chinesium that causes frustration and project interruption.

Reliability and Strength

I have used these anchors for years. They have never let me down. Every once in while, if I’m not careful, I’ll strip one. That has nothing to do with the anchor, it’s my fault for not letting off the drill/screwdriver soon enough. I have hung shelving, countertops, ladders, garden hoses and a host of other things using these anchors. They have never failed me, regardless of the weight.

Hollow-wall anchor, not for concrete

This is advertised as 'concrete anchor'. The pictured item is a drywall or hollow-wall anchor, it cannot be used in concrete. Also, you cannot use a 5/16" bit to drill a guide hole for the depicted item. At most, you can use a 1/8" bit.

Once I figured out how to install it correctly, it was great. The instructions are a bit weak.

Works on metal too

I have been using these on my perferorated sheet metal rafters to mount flood lights. Works better than toggle bolts

Drywall anchors

These are great for heavy mounted objects for drywall.

Great way to attach stuff to a wall. Don't over tighten, it'll break of inside.

Hollow Wall Anchor

The title for the review automatically came us as "Concrete Anchors", but this item is a hollow wall anchor. If you want to permanently attach something to a sheetrock wall, this is hard to beat. You drill the pilot hole, tap in the anchor, and tighten the screw. Then back the screw out and use it to attach the item. These things are great!

Excellent product

I was putting up shelves and the hangers that screw into the wall would not hold the weight. These hangers worked wonderfully. They were easy to use - pound them into wall and screw until tight- then unscrew and put up what you need. Super easy.

Poor quality

The first two I pulled out of the box stripped the threads when I tired to compress/install them in the wall. Third one worked. That's a very poor avg and my reason for only 2 stars. Hopefully the avg of good will improve with the remaining 15 when I use them.

Just what I was looking for

They work well in walls insulated with foam or other dense material.
