Unlike tall kitchen-style bins that are best for bottles/cans only, I can fold boxes into this bin and recycle gallon or larger plastic containers. It's also a good size to pour straight into my outdoor bin before collection day without spilling the contents into my yard. Finally, unlike taller bins, it's not easy to knock over unintentionally.
