Would RecommendFor the greatest success remove all weeds before applying Preen. Till or plow the soil to a depth of 1 to 2 inches. Sprinkle Preen using Preen Shaker or hand spreader. When finished, rake Preen into soil. Lastly, water the area thoroughly, give it a good soaking.

Would Not RecommendI applied Preen to a myrtle bed to hopefully prevent Japanese stilt grass from emerging. Killed my myrtle. I will have to have landscaper plant grass or cover with landscaping stones.
