What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise these screws for exceptional quality, durability, and reliable performance. Most highlight smooth driving into cement board and wood without pre-drilling, excellent holding power, and flush countersinking without splitting. The included star bit and self-tapping design receive strong appreciation for preventing stripping and improving torque transfer. Many commend the epoxy coating for superior corrosion resistance in moisture-prone areas. Some report difficulty getting screws started or bit seating issues, and a few prefer competing brands, but these concerns are far outweighed by widespread satisfaction and strong recommendations.

Skip these - They don't hold a bit and are a pain.

Would Not Recommend

These are terrible. It's like the torx indent isn't deep enough to grab the bit well. Screwing into cement board (as these are theoretically designed for) takes some pressure to get started, but since the bits don't seat well, it just wobbles around sending the screw flying and the bit into your finger. I tried running these with the included bit, Dewalt, Milwaukee and some other generic bits I could find around - None were noticeably better. I have much better luck with the Backer-On brand sold...

Don’t buy

Would Not Recommend

Terrible. The supplied bit did not fit tightly into the screw causing it to slip out while driving into the fiber board. Used my own torque bit with the same results. Beat up my fingers pretty good. Go with the Rock On brand much better performance.

Very bad

They will tilt wobble and fall. Anything but screw in as a normal T25 cement board screw. These are sun grade T24 bit screw heads. Run away!!! Caused us so many problems.

Run away

Would Not Recommend

Very bad. Every single screw will slip wobble and fall. Why? They are T24 but screws. Stay with T25. Don’t ever use these. Caused me so much stress!!! 25 years doing this. I was tricked. Never again.

Cement Board Screws Made the Install Easier

Trouble screwing unless you predrill...

Would Not Recommend

These are a royal pain to drill into cement board. The fix to this is spending the time to predrill every hole. At this point they work just as good as any other screw. I expected them to be easier.

Better products out there

Would Not Recommend

Similar to the other low reviews, these use a T20 bit with poor fit where the main competitors use a T25 bit with better quality control. These were frustrating to use as they wouldn't countersink easily and I went through about $40 in T20 impact bits trying to fully seat them, ended up running out of bits and hammering the rest flush in frustration. I needed some more to finish the job and bought backer-ons instead and they went in much easier I wish I bought those in the first place.
