Works well!

Starts easily and smooth threading. The torx heads do not strip out like phillips heads. Only problem i had was box hinge was broken so fell out in envelope and makes difficult to transport without spilling. Would definitely recomend the screws but need to improve the packaging.

Grabbed for other use and worked great

I picked these just based on the thread look not realizing the speciality of them. I used them for securing to wood to wood which is half of the actual use of these screws. I was amazed at how quickly they bit into the wood. I can tell by the swicth of the thread at the top of the screw that it will work great at securing cement board. Comes with the required torx bit as well.

Solid screws

Honestly, I use these as a general use screw for everything. they are self-taping and a good length for making little jigs for woodworking. I find the star pattern to be a lot more stable and holds the screw better than a phillips. I'm sure it works well for cement board too. The wide head is good for that. I always have box of these on hand for any little project.

Well built, very useful

I used these screws to screw the hard board down to subfloor in preparation of tiling my floor. They were very durable and they went in perfectly. They counter-sunk perfectly flush to the hard board. I would recommend these and use again for my tile projects.

The Screw was very efficient & works great.

I recently used these screws for some cement board in the basement. I really liked that they are ceramic coated to keep corrosion down they come with a longer 2 inch star style bit that fits snug and is a lot easier to handle then the little 1 inch bit that comes with most screws. All the screws fit clean with no burs hanging in the star hole. The screws drilled with ease and were very strong and solid that I didn't fear that I might break them. My new favorite screw

These cement board screws are my new favorite. I really like the star heads over the Phillips/square-headed screws I usually use. The star gives more grip than the square drive without slipping. Note that the bit that is included is actually a longer 2" bit not the small 1" long ones which is nice. In the past I have used my drywall screwgun to install cement board screws so the short bits are needed for that, but I already have plenty of the short ones. Good but don't like the heads

The product itself is a good product and a good size the send them in but I have not been a favorite of the star head. I am not sure why they are moving to that type but the rest I do like.

Good screws for cement board

These screws are great. I have been using Backer-on Screws for over 5 years but tried these Power Pro ones and you cant tell the difference. They start fast and counter sink the best. I havent used them on anything besides cement board, for this review.

Very nice screws

I really like these. They go in nice and hold tight. It comes with the star bit in case you don't have one. Go's right in without any issues and you don't need to predrilled the hole. You get 140 9 x 1 5/8 screws per box. I am using these to put up new walls on my shed. They do the job well. Wish I would have received 9 x 2" instead but I am not complaining.

Starts easy holds tight

Perfect little screw for the job. We used these on a remodel job and had zero problems. They start easy and hold tight as... well they hold tight. Couldn’t have asked for more and we’ll be using them again. Very happy with results.

Gets the job done

These cement board self tapping screw's are very nice.. The star head is a big improvement over normal drywall screws. The star head prevents slipping and stripping.. These screws will definitely be my screw of choice when working with cement board or drywall.. Thank you!!

Great product

This is crazy, but I love this screw. From the sel tapping to the star tip. Just apply a little pressure and it goes straight in and did not strip. Star tip attachment comes in box.

Excellent cement board screw

I used these to put up cement board around my fireplace enclosure during a remodel. I just love the self tapping feature of these. No drilling required. Perfect length to counter sink easily. Very nice product.

Outstanding

An Excellent fastener. Absolutely no fuss or worries mounting cement board. Out lasts and truly better than nails and stainless screws. I just finished a project using Power Pro screws and Durock boards. And I tell you it was quick and painless. No pre drill, drove into older hard wood studs without a hiccup.

Screw it!

The first time I have ever done cement board I found out how great the screws are! I use this type of screw for a lot of applications. Cement board screws are a little on the pricy side... so that’s something you have to consider. These screws are very well formed, very sharp, and very strong. The threads are sharp and more corse that like a drywall screw that’s why I like them for many different things . Cuts very well into cement board and sits flush just how it should!

Solid product with good tech.

These are certainly an improvement from the old school screws. That's a huge step forward. They are fast threaded so they go in smooth and very easy. Self tapers too. The extra threads at the top near the head are perfect as they grab the board and make a very tight fit. Plus a torx head is terrific for strong high torque fit. I found these easy to use and a solid connection when they were put in.

Best screws yet

When working with cement board if you've ever done it you have to buy screws that are specifically designed for that type of application, the thing I like about these, is that they will work with all forms of boarding, wether it is hardiplank, durock and like materials. They have a textured head counter sinking head and a twist shank with a self piercing point and drive right in to wood or metal studs which is awesome for commercial applications you normally would have to buy self tapping screws...

Great for High Moisture Conditions

I used these cement board screws to remodel my bathrooms, as I was concerned about corrosion resistant finish and preventing rust from bleeding into grout and board. They seem perfect for use in high moisture areas such as bathrooms & shower areas - I have a great deal of faith and trust in them serving their purpose for many years.

Excellent Quality fastener

These fasteners work great! Their aggressive dual thread and self tapping tip make installation in the hard composition siding easy and the included tip means no hunting around for or purchasing a special tip.
