Would RecommendIt's the only cedar mailbox post I could find at the big box stores in stock but workmanship is pretty lacking. The handful of nails felt insufficient, finish is rough (not sanded), the cross lap joint is sloppy, there's significant tear-out around the joint, and the 45 brace isn't cut or installed square. After pulling all the nails to fully disassemble, taking a quick pass of 120 grit with the belt sander on all faces, truing up the 45 brace ends with a miter saw, and reassembling using Spax ...

I had to pick through 20 on the rack to find one that was barely acceptable. The diagonal brace was attached with big gaps in the joints. 1/2 the posts on the rack had nail blowouts in the joints.
