Ratings & Reviews for Postal Pro 4 x 4 White Polymer Finial Mount Mailbox Post
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this mailbox post for its straightforward installation, typically completed in under 30 minutes, and attractive modern appearance that enhances curb appeal. The polymer material resists weather damage and requires no painting, offering a durable, low-maintenance upgrade over traditional wood. Most appreciate how easily it slips over a standard 4x4 wood post with clear instructions. However, reviewers consistently note the wood post must be purchased separately, and some mention included hardware runs short for larger mailboxes, requiring longer screws. A few report minor issues with flimsy brackets or isolated defective parts. Overall, customers find it a worthwhile investment despite these minor drawbacks.

Would RecommendThis is exactly the style that we wanted. The quality is fine and the instructions are easy to follow. They provide self tapping screws but I would have preferred pre-drilled pilot holes. The cross posts dips because there are only two screws to hold it in and if you install as per the instructions, you create a pivot point. I wish I had realized this and I would have off-set the screws. If I do that now I'll have a hole in the post. The absolute biggest frustration is not with this mailbox post...

Looks great - does not last
Would Not RecommendWe purchased this post in July. It looked great and was fine until December. In December the whole top portion broke off. We thought the snow plow hit it do we bought another one to replace it. The second one didn't stay intact for a week. We are in Ohio where it's been cold and windy. There's no support for the vinyl post about the mailbox support, so when it's cold and windy the vinyl/,PVC/, plastic just cracks from the wind hitting the mailbox. If you live soon without winter weather i...

Almost Great
Would RecommendI just installed one of these at my house. It looks very nice and went together very easily. The only problem I found with it is that the cross bar sags downward if you just use the screws and placement prescribed in the instructions. The single screw on each side of the cross bar just creates a pivot point for the cross bar to sag. I had to use one of the screws intended for the base and add it as a second screw to one side of the cross bar to keep it square to the post. Annoyingly, there are n...

Nice Upgrade for your wooden mail box post But...
Would RecommendAfter many years of painting my mailbox post, I purchased this product. Looks great! Easy to install! Easy to follow directions. BUT BEWARE. The mounting brackets are for a regular small size mailbox. I upgraded to a larger mailbox years ago. The supplied nut and bolts are too short to attach a larger size mailbox to the supplied mounting brackets. Luckily I had some longer bolts to finish the job. Would have been nice if some longer bolts had been included with the hardware packet. Overall I'm ...
