Would RecommendNice rugged box. My wife buys books and they had to be forced into our old box and eventually destroyed it. This one is big enough to hold them. Mounted on customized 2 x 10. Ordering on-line and picking up at the store sounds better than it is.

Would RecommendI haven't used this box yet due to canceling the installation, twice, due to Missouri freezing temps and raining buckets so I'll speak to the mailbox itself. The bronze color is attractive. The metal seems sturdy. The latch catches and releases with a normal tug and push. The gentleman that answered my questions was stellar at the Lowe's I bought it from.

The door closes very simply but securely in place, so I don't have to worry about the door flopping open! The inside is very spacious, which allowed me to place in a light in the back without having to worry about losing space inside.
