What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these pellets for their mild, sweet, well-balanced smoke that enhances meat without overpowering it. Reviewers consistently highlight exceptional flavor and aroma, noting "taste the food and not the wood" and appreciating the lack of bitterness. The pellets burn cleanly with light to medium smoke, work reliably across various smokers, and deliver consistent quality rivaling premium brands. Many report using them for poultry, pork, venison, ribs, and brisket with excellent results. A few note occasional heat limitations in certain high-demand models or desire stronger smoke in specific applications. Overall, most customers plan to repurchase or have switched exclusively to this brand.

Would Not RecommendWhile the pellets have good flavor, they don’t burn hot enough to keep the Pit Boss 1600 Pro Series to its set temperature. The pellets are inconsistent sizes and tend to get jammed in the auger. I’ve smoked venison loin and cream cheese with these pellets and they produce light to medium smoke with a good flavor, but the pellets just can’t keep the smoker at consistent temperatures.

Lacked Smoke Flavor
Would Not RecommendDidn’t seem to have a real smoke flavor. Smoked sausages and chicken wings and it just didn’t seem to have a real smoke flavor when done.
