Terrible "tool"

This thing was useless. I spent 10 minutes cleaning off the mold flashing before I even tried to use it. The wheels were not large enough diameter to even begin to seat any spline - the whole thing was wobbly. I tossed it in the trash and set the spline with a screwdriver. I did read the reviews before purchasing, but it was the only tool my local Lowes carried; there was no alternative. Lowes: the buyer who sourced this thing for your company should be forced to spend an eight hour day trying...

Junk.

This is cheap plastic, and it fell apart on the first screen. I will be returning to the store. The low price lured me in, but I would not buy another if it were half the price.

Cheap Junk

I wanted a wood handled, metal wheel roller but my local store did not have one. I have already thrown this cheap piece of junk across my garage against the wall. It is basically useless. I didn't get one spline in before the wheel was deformed and falling apart. Spend more and find a good tool for the job.

Incredibly Cheap

After using this product, I cannot recommend it. It is an incredibly cheap plastic tool that WILL NOT LAST beyond your repair and may not even last that long. The wheel is plastic, and subject to uneven pressure and failing. I guess you get what you pay for.

WORST thing I ever bought from Lowe's

This roller is aso flimsy and did not even last through my attempt to install a new screen. The roller compressed into a useless mess. Do not purchase this inferior item!

Don't buy

This is the only tool I could find in the screen section. The wheels wobble making it impossible to use. Ended up using a screwdriver to push the spline in. It worked a lot better.

Should be in a dollar bin

Expect to pay 10 times the mfg. cost for this toy-like, plastic tool. It works, just don't drop it or God-forbid step on it. Why buy it? Well, the weekend warrior doesn't have this necessary tool in their tool box so it is buy this or the much more expensive, wood and metal wood version. It should be in a dollar but it isn't because they know when people need one, they are likely going to have to buy one so price is whatever they want it to be. Only the navy color plastic keeps this looking like...

Cheap plastic

This is the only model available by Lowe's and it is made of cheap plastic. I went ahead and still tried it out before making a final decision on its quality, and it reaffirmed my first impression. It does not work even half as well as the traditional models (wood handle and steel rollers). Lowe's needs to offer more choices for the buyer; otherwise, others might make the same choice I did... I went to Home Depot and bought a good model there.

Get the metal / wood one instead

It's flimsy in comparison to a metal / wood one. Get that one instead.

its very cheap

I actually think the wheel is too thin. Takes quite few times before you can get the wheel to roll properly on the spline and get it gone. But even then, it has a tendency to lose it's track. If the wheel was a tad thicker, I think it would go on much easier.

Easy, inexpensive tool for replacing screens

This item was easy to use and helped make the job quick and easy. I was able to replace 6 screens in less than 2 hours.

Good enough

It's a plastic tool, so what can I say. I worked just fine. I expect when I need it again it will work fine then as well. Fit well in my hand.

Good item for average use

I was skeptical of the quality of this tool, but for the money, it did its job. This tool is not going to do a whole house full of screens, but for the average homeowner with a few repairs to make, it will do the task. If you are not trying to use this as a commercial tool, it will be fine.
