Sparse coverage
Would RecommendThis is a mix of seed and chopped-up wood pellets. My patch/infill areas are on flat ground so I can't commment of slope holding. The seed came up fine but there was nowhere the quantity needed for the rated coverage (fine print on the bag acknowledges this). I had sufficient product for my small patch areas to apply a double density, which provided adequate sprouted density.

This actually works.
Would RecommendEffective easy peasy. I've used this a couple times and it actually works. I have a very shady front yard. Thanks to some beautiful trees. It was very easy to spread across the lawn and it stayed in place although I did add some straw on the top.
