Would RecommendThrew out a bag of smart seed and racked it, watered it and it sprouted in 8 days. this seed has worked for me twice and this time just 2 weeks ago in south texas. Threw down the seed and it sprouted just great. Great product

Great for improving my yard
Would RecommendThis was a very easy process to spread the seed and the bright green color was easy to spot for several days to ensure I was watering correctly.

Would RecommendI planted a small 20x20 area to test this out and I am very happy with results so far. I killed off the weeds, waited 5 days, scalped using a weedeater and then planted. You MUST keep soil moist, watered every 3 hours. Germinated in 5 days. Last photo is growth 17 days after planting. Eastern NC.

Would Not RecommendI purchased this hoping to fill in some bare spots on my sunny Charlotte, NC lawn. I have bermuda grass, so I thought I was getting bermuda grass. It came up looking like fescue. I then read the product detail and saw this is less than 25% bermuda and mixed with chewings fescue. However, the grass was lush and green early spring, and I thought it would be ok even though it didn't match my bermuda lawn. But then came the hot summer temps - the grass turned brown and died over the early summer wee...

Would Not RecommendBought two bags. One to repair some bald spots and another to overseed the backyard. Applied exactly as directed, even mowing close and got lucky with some well timed rain to assist with the watering. 2 weeks later saw about 5% coverage of the bald spots with new grass. It has now been over a month and got results of around 10% coverage of the bald spots with new grass and can't tell a difference where it was overseeded. Complete waste of money, time and effort.

A Seed You May Need
Would RecommendAfter many hours of scouring the internet for the best grass seed, and seeing many that were specialty brands, I decided to get Pennington's Bermuda Grass Seed. I can't say I am disappointed, however, I can say that it did not fully grow in the coverage areas. This could have been user error, but I ensured there was good seed to soil contact with slight soil coverage on the seeds. Overall, I will rate this at a 4/5 simply because it does work, but might have some varying results.

Very tedious task better to buy sod
Would Not RecommendFind grass seed in bulk is such a difficult task to actually get results. You have to have a hand spreader. They want you to buy dirt to spread over the grass seed and this is after you scrape up the dirt or the ground before you put down the grass seed, then you have to hope it doesn’t rain too much or you have to water it and water it and water it
